Knocked Off & Knocked Out

Pictures that tell stories have always been a story of mine. I appreciate them for their often raw journalistic qualities, and their distinctive ability to highlight the day-to-day faucets of life all over the world that we may often neglect or miss entirely. I hope to get better at making such pictures.

Waiting for transport back to his quarters at the end of a hard day's work, a construction worker abandons himself to stealing forty-winks at what would otherwise be a busy and dangerous exit corner for heavy vehicles in the day time.

Guys' Night Out

I'll always thoroughly enjoy this company. Like it is always said at our last few our partings - we should do this more often. I hope to God that this can be. Us five this time; missing the highly acclaimed Ram and Dr. G... and soon, Gerry too, as he starts his training to become a commercial airline pilot. Way to go Gerry!

Dinner at Ali San

It's a wee bit pricey for Chinese folk-dishes, but they way they do it makes it an enjoyable meal every time.

Portraiture - Farik

This is a portrait of Farik, my pal of 9 years. Of these 9 years, we spent 5 years in various collaborative creative processes - he is pictured here in the familiar posture I have always seen when I looked across the brainstorming table.

WIP Shot - Wide Gaze

A sweet little girl with the biggest eyes, from an Indian family that I met and took pictures for.

From a set I'm working on.

WIP Shot - Mimick

A shot from a set I'm working on.

This little boy was playing to the camera, mimicking my movements as I aimed through my viewfinder and took pictures of him.
In place of the camera he had his little Batman mobile phone.

New Cam On the Block

As it turned out, it wasn't very long at all since my post about the 3rd Flickr meet up that I have gotten my very own dSLR! Thanks be to God, not just for making it happen so smoothly, but also for being so encouraging, blessing me with a instant stream of learning opportunities... and even wedding invites to shoot!!

This was one particular project which I took to get acquainted with my new D70s; I enjoyed the shoot thoroughly:
